We're excited to launch this brand-new program for folks wanting to practice or improve on a second (or third, or fourth) language. There is so much demand in our community for language learning, and we can't possibly offer classes for every single language, but this solution allows us to tap into our diverse, enthusiastic, and very social community.

The idea of a language exchange is that you pair up with someone who speaks the language you want to practice, and in turn help them practice a language that you speak fluently. So, for example, if English is your first language and you want to practice your Spanish, you can pair up with a Spanish speaker who wants to practice their English!

Join us on Tuesday, January 15 for a social where you can mingle with other learners and hopefully find your perfect match. Our Spanish instructor, Farha Guerrero, will be on hand to share some tips and tricks for a successful language exchange. You can then meet your partner at the Library every Tuesday at 7 p.m., or find a time that works better for you - maybe you'll ski together or grab a coffee once a week. We'll all meet again after six weeks (on February 26) for a closing social!

No registration required, and all languages welcome!
