EXTERNAL: Black History Everyday Webinar
Black History Everyday challenges the conventional notion of confining Black history to a single month by highlighting its continuous influence on our everyday lives. In this session, Dr. Jennifer Adams from the University of Calgary will explore how Black contributions, narratives, and experiences are woven into the fabric of our cultural, academic, and social institutions. Drawing on her extensive research and expertise, Dr. Adams will examine the ongoing impact of Black history on contemporary society, discussing both the achievements and the systemic challenges faced by Black communities.
Attendees will gain fresh perspectives on integrating Black historical narratives into everyday practices—whether in education, policy, or community engagement—and learn actionable strategies for celebrating and acknowledging the vital role of Black history in shaping our shared future. The session holds on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 9 a.m. PST.
