FireSmart Community Information Workshop

Whistler residents and homeowners are invited to learn how they can take action to protect their homes and communities.

Topics will include:

• What is FireSmart, how did our methods become best practice, and the effectiveness of FireSmart practices in small and large scale implementation;
• Basic fire science & fire spread mechanisms;
• Home Ignition Zones, Home Hardening techniques, and the importance of working on structures AND landscapes;
• FireSmart BC plant and landscaping program (choosing FireSmart plants and landscaping techniques for your home garden)

All are welcome, no registration required! Learn how to do your part to be FireSmart.
