Legal Advocacy at the Library

The Sea to Sky Community Services Legal Advocacy Program offers free advocacy support and assistance to financially restricted individuals and families in Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton.

The Legal Advocate offers public education, information, guidance, and support during mediations in areas such as employment issues, human rights disputes, tenancy disputes, and formal appeals for Income Assistance Benefits and referral services. The Legal Advocate also works closely with other community service providers.

You’ll be able to find the Legal Advocate at the library on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month from 12 to 2 p.m. They will be available for drop-in conversations, or you can contact them to set up an appointment.

For more information or to set up an appointment, contact Anita Kohen at 604-892-5796 or legal.advocacy@sscs.ca.

Please note: there will be no Legal Advocacy Drop-in on Wednesdays, December 18 & January 1. This program will return on Wednesday, January 15, 2025!
