COVID-19 has turned our lives upside down. It has also created many stories - of unforeseeable struggles, of overcoming challenges, and of unexpected triumphs and successes - that need to be shared for posterity.

Join the Sea to Sky Community for a workshop that will give you the tools needed to write your story in a safe, non-judgmental setting, unrestricted by grammar, spelling, or other gremlins that may stop you from recording your unique story.

No writing experience required – simply a desire to document your COVID story. All levels of writing ability welcome! Adults and teens are invited to participate. Following this workshop, your story (with your permission) will be shared with our Sea to Sky communities.

Registration: Community members from Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton are welcome to attend! To register, email jbruce@whistlerlibrary.ca!

About the facilitator: Jill Dawson Nowack is an Expressive Arts Practitioner. Her love of the arts – movement, theatre, music, painting, poetry and narrative – combined with her love of creative learning give her workshops a sense of freedom and enjoyment that is both playful and insightful.

This program is a partnership between Squamish Public Library, Whistler Public Library, Pemberton & District Public Library, and the Whistler Pemberton Literacy Partnership.
