About the presenter:
Bronwyn has worked for the Alzheimer Society of BC for 11 years in different capacities, most recently as Support & Education Coordinator, North Shore & Sunshine Coast.
Bronwyn recently completed a course in Preventing Dementia with the University of Tasmania, completed studies in non-profit Management and Volunteer Administration and is currently working towards a Bachelor of Dementia Care. She has worked on contract for seniors’ organizations and long term care facilities evaluating and developing volunteer programs and developing training for volunteers working with people with dementia.
Bronwyn has experienced first hand the impact dementia has on not just the person with the illness but their family. Currently she is a long distance caregiver for both parents.
